Pets in hot cars

Summary

Elevated temperatures have accompanied the official start of summer and many Ontarians are taking advantage of the warm weather by spending more time outdoors with their pets. Sadly, each year across the province, there are hundreds of reports of pets left unattended in parked vehicles. Today, our government issued a news release reminding Ontarians not to leave pets unattended in their vehicles. The temperature inside vehicles can quickly become much hotter than the temperature outside, and it can be fatal.
