Independent pharmacy has been a key partner to government over the past two years as we have battled through the most serious public health crisis in our generation.
Taken as a whole, there are over 4,300 community pharmacies in Ontario. Approximately 50% of those are small independent businesses. The sector has helped not only improve health outcomes in Ontario, but it has also contributed to Ontario’s total economic footprint and jobs creation.
Pharmacists have been there from the very beginning for their patients, clients, and community at large, ensuring that everyone has access to the care they need, to their medications, and to life-saving COVID-19 vaccines.
