North York General Hospital’s Seniors’ Health Centre Visit with Minister of Health and Minister of Long-Term

We stopped by the North York General Hospital’s Seniors’ Health Centre to accompany the Minister of Health and MPP of Dufferin–Caledon, Sylvia Jones and Minister of Long-Term Care, Paul Calandra where they made some great announcements to introduce future developments for the centre.

I expressed my gratitude to the Department of health for investing an additional $3 million to expand, and to improve the services of the North York General Hospital. This includes adding new patient beds, building a new emergency department, and creating more operating room space. A new inpatient care tower that will increase the amount of new inpatient beds by over 100 is also in these redevelopment plans.

Included in the Ontario Government’s plans for the New York General Hospital is the building a new 384-bed long-term care home to ensure that senior residents in the community will have the access to the care that they need.
