First off, a big thank you to the voters and constituents of Don Valley North who have placed their trust in me. It is an honour to serve as you as the Member of Provincial Parliament. At Queen’s Park we have had a busy summer agenda. Our Government has passed back to work legislation to end the longest post-secondary education strike at York University. Furthermore, the passage of Bill 2 included the resignation of the Board of Directors and Chair of Hydro One. We have also introduced legislation to cancel the Cap and Trade Carbon Tax program instituted by the previous government. This bill will be on the legislative agenda in the fall session.
Unfortunately, Don Valley North has experienced gun violence. I stood up and spoke in the Legislature about this horrific event. Our government has promised $25 million in new funding over four years to fight gang and gun violence in the City of Toronto and the Province of Ontario.
For the residents of Don Valley North, I am happy to announce the opening of our Constituency Office located at 2175 Sheppard Avenue East, Suite #103 at the southeast corner of Sheppard Avenue East and Consumers Road. My office can be reached at 416-494-8778 or at Vincent.Keco @ pc.ola.org. Additionally, please visit my Community website VincentKeMPP.com for community and Queen’s Park updates.
Finally, I will be hosting my first MPP Community BBQ on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Cummer Park, (please see flyer at the back of the newsletter). I look forward to representing you at Queen’s Park for the next four years.
